Kenilworth Castle Wedding Photography

We love hearing your stories. What a lovely summer wedding Sam and Alastair had at Kenilworth Castle. Also a beautiful story. Thank you for letting us be part of your wonderful day. X

How did you First Meet?

We met on an aeroplane. Flight from Frankfurt to Birmingham in October 2010.The flight was delayed by about 4 hours and once boarded they moved half the passengers to different seats. We ended up sitting next to each other and the rest is history!

How long did it take to plan your perfect wedding day?

Not long. Alastair proposed on an aeroplane (see, there’s a theme here!) Flight from our home in Houston Texas back to the UK for Christmas 2015.We started wedding planning on our return to the US.

What made you choose your wedding venue?

Kenilworth Castle is a beautiful setting, a place that we both love, so after considering a few options this one was an easy decision. Also Louise the event manager at the castle is wonderful and is very easy to work with.

Do you have a theme to your wedding day?

Not really, other than “Relaxed”. We told our guests that they should wear what they’re comfortable in; we didn’t want anyone having to spend lots of money on outfits unnecessarily. We decided against a formal sit down dinner and seating plan, instead opting for a Texas barbeque with guests eating when they fancied, sitting where they liked, inside or outside. We married at 5pm and the flow from service to photos to reception was very easy.
